The Future is RAWK!!!
The BBC have an article on how Kerrang! have finally taken over as top weekly music magazine, putting NME in second place. Kerrang! has been selling around 77,000 copies worldwide while NME pulling in around 70,000. The article also mentioned how other magazines which are published less frequently are selling just fine. For example, Q is still selling around 200,000 issues per month. An interesting fact is that NME sales are down 47,000 since about 5 years ago, around the same time their website was starting to get underway. I remember driving about 30 minutes to a "local" indie record store just to pick up a NME years ago. But that was just for the news, so what's the point now since it's all online?
