The short career of KENICKIE has come to an abrupt end, as the band announced their split at the end of their show last week at the London Astoria. NME is reporting that the set ended with the band half-heartedly destroying their equipment and vocalist Lauren signing off with "We were Kenickie, a bunch of fuckwits!" The split appears to be amicable, and based on low sales of their recent recordings, including the disappointing second album, "Get In." Lauren's hosting a BBC program for now, and the remaining members have no immediate plans, but it's expected that they'll remain in music.
