Love and Rockets Split
Another day, another break-up... this time it's LOVE AND ROCKETS, who announced today that their current string of concerts will be their last ever. After splitting duties for the past year between the much-touted Bauhaus reunion and their own album, "Lift," the band are now hanging it up entirely in order to concentrate fully on side projects. Check the TOURS page for news and details on the FINAL shows EVER from Love and Rockets.
Cardigans and Love And Rockets Tour Updates
Some tour news: Hotly tipped Swedish popsters KENT will be opening for THE CARDIGANS on their upcoming U.S. tour in February. The people behind that rather unfortunate cover of "Blue Monday", ORGY, will be opening for LOVE AND ROCKETS on their U.S. tour which will run from March into April.
Love & Rockets Interview
It's the day after Love and Rockets' penultimate show on their mini-tour about the U.S. to promote their latest record, Lift. Over 1,000 people (not all wearing Bauhaus t-shirts) turned out for free show in Anaheim, California, that more than exceeded their expectations. The band threw themselves into selections from Lift (RIP 20 C, Delicious Ocean, Holy Fool) and included some surprises -- a classic (Mirror People) and a wholly unexpected cover of T-Rex's 20th Century Boy (most recently covered by Placebo for the film "Velvet Goldmine"). Daniel Ash, David J, and Kevin Haskins had just finished a photo shoot in the offices of Red Ant Records in West Hollywood. They were extremely positive about sitting down for an interview, not minding at all that they were inside while outside the cloudless, 85-degree December day passed them by.

Love And Rockets Tour
Tour news: LOVE AND ROCKETS are set to embark on a series of U.S. dates in December. Looking ahead to next summer, a couple of interesting rumors are already surfacing, including another "Big Rewind" style tour, this time featuring THE GO-GO'S and HOWARD JONES and the possibility of a electronia tour featuring ORBITAL and UNDERWORLD.
