The Farm Sue The Macarena Guys

File this under funniest tale of the decade. We were wanting to post this over the weekend, but the news of the Boos split took precedence. BUT, it's now time for a good laugh, for THE FARM have sued LOS DEL RIO, claiming that the popular rendition of "Macarena" is a little too similar to The Farm's own "Higher and Higher." Two thoughts: (A) We've often heard tales of The Farm's massive Latin American fanbase (erm...), and (B) who on Earth would WANT to claim responsibility for the Macarena??? Regardless, the suit goes to High Court in the coming months...

It's unclear if he will be rejoining the band later in the year. The Cardigans also release a new single (at least in the U.K.) on February 22nd, when "Erase/Rewind" hits the shelves.
