Ash To Perform In Brooklyn On St. Patrick's Day

I challenge you to find a better way to spend St. Patrick's Day than by drinking some festive beverages while watching the Irish trio Ash perform in Brooklyn. Yes, Tim Wheeler and his mates are taking the stage at the Music Hall of Williamsburg on St. Patrick's Day, with no other dates in North America - Source

Charlotte Quits Ash

Well, we shouldn't have said such good things about CHARLOTTE HATHERLEY's solo record last year... as she's just quit ASH to focus on her solo career. The band's website refers to the split as amicable, but we're still a touch sad to see her go.

What a fucking blazing performance. I still can't believe they played the Casbah - a 132-capacity bar - but I wasn't complaining. I was at the side of the stage on Charlotte's side, with a view of everyone.

Manics and Ash Dropped

Well, remember a few days ago when we reported that the Manic Street Preachers had been dropped by their U.S. label? Well, it's happened AGAIN, as we're now receiving word (unconfirmed but very reliable) that ASH have officially been dropped by Reprise Records in the States, which means the new Ash record, Nu-Clear Sounds, scheduled for an October U.S. release, will most likely now have to be obtained via importer. This is really getting ridiculous.
