Flash drives offer new choices for music fans

Instead of a CD or digital version of the Universal album, fans could buy a $30 USB drive designed like a Ouija board planchette. The device comes with a digital-rights-management-free version of the album and the promise of more bonus materials in coming months. Users simply plug it into their computer's USB drive and then listen to the album or download it into their music library. - Source

My Bloody Valentine Coming To America

According to a brief discussion with Coachella co-founder Paul Tollett posted over at NME, My Bloody Valentine are coming to America. Coachella's April date was too soon, which is why they're debuting with summer festival shows at Roskilde, Ã~ya, in Paris, and at a spattering of ATP-sponsored gigs. And the US of A? To quote Tollett: "Don't worry--they'll come to America." Vague, but forceful. As far as the rumors that original drummer Colm O'Ciosoig wasn't going to take part in the reunion? The folks who started the rumor have taken it back. - Source

New Justice Video - "Phantom II"

The reigning champs of indie video making climb back into the ring, here with less magic tees and more Justice birthday cake. Plus, despite the title and the sound, "D.A.N.C.E." was really just a leisurely stroll; at least here the kooky family in question makes nice with the beat. Their coordination is helped by the editor's scrubbing the footage, definitely, but with those pendant closeups, we get the sense it's the power of the cross  that compels them. - Source

Black Kids Announce Tour With Cut Copy

How do those Black Kids do it? Without a full-length album, a label (on their home continent, anyway), a proper tour of their own home country, or even a fully functional website to their credit (er, amp;quot;coming soonamp;quot;), Black Kids have managed to win hearts around the globe. - Source

Chris Rock Doing Bonnaroo's What? Stage

The hippie jokes are gonna be just a little more original this year! Bonnaroo announces Chris Rock will do a one-hour set of material on the fest's main stage, likely tackling politics, in-case-shit, and dirty twirling kids for one of the largest audiences ever to assemble and be openly mocked to their faces. Too bad it won't be in the comedy tent, but that's gonna be plenty fun this year, anyway. It features Zach Galifianakis, Janeane Garofalo, Mike Birbiglia Jim Norton, Brian Posehn, and "Late Time Chat About": a nighttime live talk show featuring skits, guests, and houseband, hosted by David Cross. Stereogum's drinking game suggestion: Take a shot every time a comic mentions Jack Johnson. You will be wasted. More on bonnaroo.com »
