Glastonbury Report
A few tidbits from this weekend's Glastonbury Festival: Excellent Online's scouts in the crowd tell us that the HAPPY MONDAYS set this weekend descended into chaos. Early interviews with Bez showed the less-than-straight vibes-man staggering around and slurring words. Then, almost as soon as the band took the stage, Mondays frontman Shaun Ryder stormed off-stage, announcing to the crowd that he'd "had enough." The band returned to attempt a take at "Step On," but Ryder spent the duration of the song pacing the stage and swearing at anyone who'd listen, before eventually leaving the stage again and ending the band's set. This doesn't bode well at all for the attempted comeback of the band, who just last week revealed that they'd cancelled their plans to record a new album -- supposedly because Ryder couldn't stand the rest of the band.
