The Full Coachella Lineup

Inside is the full lineup for the Coachella Festival from the Goldenvoice press release. It's scheduled for the weekend of April 27-28 and I imagine that set times and specific details like that won't be available until then. I think the lineup is pretty well balanced which makes it very hard for me to go only one day. Tickets go onsale on March 2nd at 10am via Ticketmaster. They are priced at $75 a day and there is a limited number of two-day passes at $125. Crap, time to sell those Primus CD's!

The Future is RAWK!!!

The BBC have an article on how Kerrang! have finally taken over as top weekly music magazine, putting NME in second place. Kerrang! has been selling around 77,000 copies worldwide while NME pulling in around 70,000. The article also mentioned how other magazines which are published less frequently are selling just fine. For example, Q is still selling around 200,000 issues per month.

Ten Great B-sides

Cluas has a list of Ten Great B-sides. They've got some good picks in there with Oasis and Radiohead. You can also check out their list of Ten Great Hidden Album Tracks and my favorite, Ten Great Album Openers. Yeah, like 'I Wanna Be Adored' by the Stone Roses wasn't going to be on there!

Belle and Sebastian US Tour

Belle and Sebastian have announced a full US tour to coincide with their Coachella Festival appearance. Several of the shows are already onsale, check the tour for the full dates. We got a bunch of submissions for this story when it was a rumor a few days ago but I decided to hold off until the dates were finally announced.

Partial Coachella Lineup

The LA Times broke the story this past Sunday with the partial lineup for the Coachella Festival. The highlights are, Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Bjork, Oasis, Belle & Sebastian, Paul Oakenfold, Basement Jaxx, Queens of the Stone Age, Groove Armada and more. The full lineup is expected to be announced later this week and tickets go on sale March 2nd. The event takes place on April 27 and 28 in the scorching hot Coachella Valley.

New Order and Chems Collaboration

The next single from New Order is a collaboration with the Chemical Brothers and will be released on March 25th, or early April. It will be featured on the soundtrack for 24 Hour Party People and promo copies will include other New Order tracks from the Get Ready sessions.

The "New" Grandaddy Album

I was surfing around CD Now the other day and found this item by Grandaddy. It looks like a brand new album, 'Concrete Dunes', is scheduled to be released on February 19th! Then I wanter over to their official site to get some more information and found the 1-16-01 entry in their news page.

East Coast Folk, Check Out THIS Gig: March Turns 10!

MARCH RECORDS has always been one of our favorite iconic US labels for indiepop of all forms, and they're about to celebrate 10 years in the business. (Our best to Skippy for doing such a damn fine job all these years!)

As unwritten law dictates that all labels turning 10 throw themselves one big ol' anniversary hoopla, March has taken it upon themselves to organize a 3-day bender at Brownie's in New York City, on February 14, 15, & 16. And it's basically the Woodstock of indiepop, folks. Check out this lineup:
