So let's try something new.  I've been on vacation for over a week and have gathered up a ton of links to interesting stories.  Instead of writing a bunch of little stories for each thing, I'm just going to lump them all in this one post.  This should get me all caught up and ready for the rest of the week.

• School Of Seven Bells have lost a member. Claudia Deheza left for "personal" reasons, but the band will go on and haven't canceled any of their upcoming tour dates.
• Elbow's lead singer, Guy Garvey, is sick of new bands getting screwed by promoters.
• I'm a Smiths/Moz fan like everyone else. Pitchfork reviewed the recent Bona Drag reissue and it finally shed some light on why Viva Hate was so awesome and Kill Uncle was so horrible. (Hint, the producer is more important then you think).
• The Pixies played 33 songs for 33 miners in Santiago, Chile for the miners. Slicing Up Eyeballs has the videos.
• I'm hearing from many sources that the new Underworld album, "Barking", is actually really good. And I'm embarrassed that I haven't listened to it yet.
• Killing Joke will be touring the US again in December.
• Go listen to the new Cold War Kids single called "Royal Blue". The single is off of their upcoming album, "Mine Is Yours" and will be released on January 24, 2011.
• Remember Tony McCarroll? He was the drummer for Oasis during the Definitely Maybe era and then was fired by Noel. He went on to sue the band and now he's releasing a tell-all book called, "Oasis: The Truth".
• Watch the video of Heaven 17 playing their hit, "Temptation", on Jools Holland. While it was a No. 2 hit song, I remember the song mainly from watching Trainspotting a hundred times.
• Ben Gibbard (Death Cab For Cutie) and his wife Zooey Deschanel (She & Him) performed at a baseball playoff game. Ben sang the national anthem and Zooey sang God Bless America.
• The Jon Stewart rally has an official west coast satellite rally, yay.
• The Flaming Lips will perform their amazing Soft Bulletin album in full on New Years Eve in their hometown, Oklahoma City.
• Gorillaz didn't let Glee use their songs.
• Universal Music Group has licensed a bunch of their songs to eMusic. eMusic is the less-shittier-then-iTunes music store and they've been doing DRM-Free MP3's since the break of dawn. So this is good new for people that want to buy music online but don't want to buy it from iTunes.
• PJ Harvey will have an album out early next year.
• Shakira covered the XX at Glastonbury and fans pieced together the track from various recordings. Give it a listen over at NME.
• Al Pacino will play Phil Spector in an HBO Film. And pitchfork is equally as excited as I am to see Pacino dawn the wig that will generate this look.
• Johnny Greenwood plans some instrumental shows while Radiohead finish their new album.
