JAMC Back in the US, DJ Shadow Comp, and Go Buy the Ride Reissue!

By theajaysharma

My first post-Coachella update.  Looking back it was a pretty damn good festival, probably one of the best ones as far as how well it was organized.  The best year for music is too hard to determine.  It might be my last one as I'm just tired of the allergies and now with the two weekends of Coachella and all the local shows, it's not worth the hassle.  In anycase, here are this week's updates.  Enjoy!

  • The Jesus and Mary Chain add West coast tour dates
  • Watch Jack White, Grimes, and Alabama Shakes on "Jools Holland". I'm in a super good mood and dug Alabama Shakes.
  • DJ Shadow Compiles Unreleased Archival Material
  • Yankee Hotel Foxtrot Turns 10. You should see the documentary, "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart" if you haven't already
  • The Charlatans are reissuing ‘Tellin’ Stories’ and will play the album in the UK. Why won't they play it here!
  • Stream new albums from Damon Albarn, Santigold, Rufus Wainwright & Lower Dens
  • Preview Radiohead on "Austin City Limits"
  • Ride’s 20th anniversary reissue of ‘Going Blank Again’ to feature 1992 concert on DVD
  • RECORD STORE DAY is tomorrow! Here's a full list of all the awesome relases, go get some!
  • Coachella Per-Day Attendance, 1999-Present...
  • A crazy collection of classic videos: Public Image Ltd., X, OMD, Simple Minds, INXS on ‘American Bandstand’
  • Blur Announce Massive Retrospective Box Set
  • Mogwai, Yoko Ono, Patti Smith, Yo La Tengo, Thee Oh Sees, Ladytron on Occupy Wall Street Comp
  • Seriously, take a few minutes and check out Gary Clark Jr. from this past Coachella. It blew me away.
  • RIP Dick Clark
  • Download a 4-track live EP from the Pixies performance at Coachella in 2004. Totally worth your email address.
  • The Outside Lands festival in San Francisco is looking pretty badass
  • Tears For Fears to warm up for Asian tour with California, Las Vegas concerts
  • New Order – “Elegia” (Full 18 Min. Version)
  • Owen Pallett Works With Linkin Park(?!?!?)
