Godspeed, Avalanches, Stone Roses, Chemical Brothers live film, Adam Ant tour dates? So much stuff this last week.
December 09, 2011
Lots of stuff this week. I'm using the "predict a coachella appearance" expression a bit too much for my taste. There are just a lot of tour dates announced and they all put bands in Southern California in late April. In any case, lots of good stuff this week, enjoy!
- I recently discovered The Wedding Present and I'm glad to see they'll be touring next year.
- Godspeed You! Black Emperor schedules 2012 tour date (that's "date", singular) (update, they had one Big Sur show at the time of writing but have added on a 5-night stand in San Francisco.)
- The Avalanches Attack Bon Iver Over Whiskey Advertisements, Grammys. (I love the fact that the Avalanches are still in the news despite not having released anything in 10 years)
- Interpol, Four Tet and Deerhunter contribute tracks to Japan tsunami benefit album
- Watch the Stone Roses' Ian Brown and John Squire reunite onstage in Manchester for charity gig.
- Kasabian announces 2012 North American tour (I predict a Coachella appearance)
- This Is What the Music Industry Looked Like When Napster First Arrived...
- Chemical Brothers are releasing a live film called, "Don't Think." Watch the trailer now...
- Ticketmaster to refund ticket buyers
- Can't Smoke, Can't Drink, But you can see Adam Ant next year! First American trek in 16 years
- Check Out: School of Seven Bells – “The Night”
- Stone Roses add 2 shows before the Manchester gigs. Hmm.. maybe Coachella 2012 is still a possibility?
- Fugazi puts hundreds of concerts online. Why don't more bands do this?!?
- The Polyphonic Spree – “It’s Christmas” (I can't be the only one that misses them)
- Stream: VCMG, ‘Spock’ — debut single from Depeche Mode’s Martin L. Gore, Vince Clarke
- Album Review: Smashing Pumpkins – Siamese Dream [Deluxe Edition]
- Parasol Shuts Down Mail Order, Store
- Justice announces 2012 U.S. tour (No LA date... I predict a Coachella appearance)
- Bob Mould to perform Sugar’s ‘Copper Blue’ on ‘very limited’ 20th anniversary tour
- I still like Silversun Pickups, they released some tracks for Black Friday
