• Belle and Sebastian's Stuart Murdoch wrote a book.  Also they have a song called, "Suicidegirl" and some other Suicide Girls decided to make a NSFW (Not-Safe-For-Work) "love letter" to Belle and Sebastian.
• Arcade Fire does 'Ready to Start' on Jools Holland.
• Deerhunter were on Conan last night.  This music is right in my wheelhouse and might be in yours too.  In other Deerhunter news, Sony apologized to Bradford Cox for taking down his own music.
• A bluegrass band, Iron Horse, covered 'Interstate 8' by Modest Mouse and doesn't sound half bad!
• Bright Eyes has announced a new album, The People's Key.  I still remember him doing the anti-war song, "When the President Talks to God", on the Tonight Show and thinking, "holy shit!"
• Keeping up with my tradition to talk about Daft Punk in every post:  you can now hear 21-minutes from the Tron:Legacy soundtrack... or you can just wait 'till December 7th.  Also, Maxence Cyrin did a pretty amazing piano-only version of 'Around the World'.
• Someone over at reddit posted a NSFW picture of Debbie Harry, but it turns out to not be real.  I just found it interesting what changing a photo from color to black and white can do.
• If you become a fan of Jonsi on Facebook, then he'll let you stream some new music which is on his upcoming live album/film, "Go Live".
• This stupid band, Imperial Stars, blocked the 101 freeway with their tour bus and performed their song, "Traffic Jam 101" for a publicity stunt.  Yes, this really happened.  The 101 is one of the busiest freeways in the city and runs right through Hollywood.  Three band members were charged with felony conspiracy by the D.A..  The driver of the truck hasn't been ID'ed so he/she is still "at large".
• Sonic Youth is reissuing 'Bad Moon Rising' and 'Sister' plus a live album from 1995.
• Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros have released an iTunes session which includes a previously unrecorded song, 'Fire & Water'.
• The Grammy nominations have been announced, and as usually they are mostly pretty crappy.  The Pixies got a nominations for best packaging, really?  Arcade fire got three nominations, including Best Album.  And Brooklyn Vegan has their response to their nomination.  How many times can I say, "nomination".
• NPR has a list of the 50 best albums of the year.  Lots of good stuff on that list.
• Michael Cera is joining Mister Heavenly on bass for a set of west-coast shows as they open up for Passion Pit.
• Sufjan Stevens has made Christmas music tolerable.
• Finally the Farm re-release their track, 'All Together Now' to support the troops.  I guess 'Groovy Train' wasn't appropriate.
