Post-Thanksgiving: Primal Scream, The National, Z-Trip, Atlas Sound Arcade Fire covers Smiths, and more

Lots of good stuff from the holiday weekend.  Mainly the videos from the Primal Scream Screamadelica shows.  Seeing them doing Loaded was pretty fuckin' awesome and it's something that I've never seen.  The chances of a show like that coming to the US is pretty rare but damn.  They should get together with Suede and knock it out.

More Leaks from Daft Punk's Tron Soundtrack

We have mentioned the soundtrack for TRON:LEGACY by Daft Punk a couple of times in the past and a few days ago six tracks have surfaced online.  Previously a bunch of fake tracks appeared online, this seems like the "real thing".  This is obviously a highly anticipated release (the score AND the movie) so I imagine that this was more of a "controlled" leak vs. someone stealing the songs.  Also since they are appearing on a site for a Seattle based radio station.

UPDATE:  There are reports that some of the recent leaks are fake.  The ones that were linked here were in fact real as Disney asked them to take it down.  You can still hear a taste of the new Tron soundtrack over at their official site.

Daft Punk Leak Track from Upcoming Tron:Legacy Soundtrack

Daft Punk has been working on the soundtrack to the upcoming sequel for Tron, Tron:Legacy.  Several blogs have been reporting that this is a brand new leak of the track but it was actually leaked several months ago.  I found one reference to the previous version over at djMe, the main difference is that this new version is twice as long but they sound similar.  Hit 'read more' for the track.

Daft Punk's TRON: LEGACY Soundtrack Will Probably Sound Like This

As reported, the makers of the Tron sequel (now called TRON: LEGACY) tapped robots of Daft Punk to score their forthcoming remake. And as Twilight fans Thom Yorke and Bon Iver reminded us earlier today, it is Comic-Con week, the time where studios preview their sci-fi wares and naturally make lots of indie rock news in the process. (CHECK OUT OUR HOT PICS!!1) URB Mag checked out the TRON: LEGACY space and filmed some video demonstrating the updated design for the Light Cycles (check that pic) in an exhibit playing music that sounds enough like Daft Punk for us to think that yes, we are getting a little preview of Daft Punk's soundtrack right now. Apparently they've recorded 24 new songs for the film, due 2011. Get a start here: Continue reading Daft Punk's TRON: LEGACY Soundtrack Will Probably Sound Like This... - Source
