Remember that creepy movie, the Polar Express?  Well, Robert Zemeckis is slated to remake the classic animated film, Yellow Submarine, using the motion-capture technology used in the Polar Express and last year's A Christmas Carol.  The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that the cast has been found has are currently in negotiations.  Hopefully the technology gets better and doesn't give me nightmares.

That's right, over at amazon.com they are selling a USB drive which is shaped like an apple.  The drive has re-mastered audio for all 14 Beatles albums.  It also includes visual elements, including 13 mini-documentary films about the albums, original UK album art, rare photos, and expanded liner notes.  The apple is 16 GB flash drive and the audio comes in both FLAC and 320Kbps MP3's.  Pretty impressive collection, too bad it's $270 bucks.

The two living Beatles, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, appeared together onstage at Microsoft's Electronic Entertainment Expo yesterday (June 1) at the University of Southern California to promote the all-new Harmonix game, 'The Beatles: Rock Band'. - Source

With more ideas than some bands have in a career stuffed into Hissing Fauna..., Skeletal Lamping, and their dazzling live shows, it would be OK for oM to set aside the instruments for a minute. Of course that is not how oM have ever worked, and so we are already seeing new songs on this tour, with the gaps in dates stopped with whatever radio or video studio sessions they can find. Though Morrissey's vegetarian rants during his Coachella set were priceless, we find it hard to believe no one is talking about Paul McCartney's set at the festival. Or rather, what was being displayed on the jumbo-tron behind the musician while he played "Got to Get You Into My Life" during his set. - Source
